Petite Panoply

Here's a bit of a casual outfit for you this Friday. I bought this olive green jacket and floral ruffled top from Forever 21 with a gift card a few weeks back. I figured I'd get plenty of use out of a jacket in this neutral shade of green. (Plus I can't get over this color lately!) I didn't particularly need to wear it this day but I wanted to layer a little bit. I kept the outfit warm weather appropriate by wearing these comfy high waisted shorts with bare legs.  top, jacket, shorts: forever 21 | clogs: korks - shoe carnival My super pale legs are shining in these pictures. Sorry if I blinded you but I'm not ashamed! In other news I have a wedding to attend today. It's been a very busy week and I haven't felt very rested but that's okay. My birthday is next week so maybe it'll be a good one. At the very least there'll be cake and that's always something to celebrate! Have a fantastic weekend!

I wore this delightfully red and black outfit on Valentine's weekend. I guess I was in a red and black mood because that was basically everything I packed. It's not a bad thing though. That color combination is classic plus it's my school's colors. You have to admit that red and black is a great combination for school colors. Definitely more wearable than orange and blue or purple and yellow... Anyway, this was just a casual outfit for wearing around Athens that weekend. I get a lot of use out of this polka dot blouse I thrifted a few years back. I like how it looks paired with red so that's exactly what I did. Good thing I had this Jeanie outfit all edited because I'm super behind on my school work tonight! Jeanie wore this over the summer. I really like her western-style button-down shirt and how perfectly it matches her sandals. Happy Valentine's Day! I thought I'd throw together a quick post of what I wore today. It's pretty casual because all I did was go to class, but the sweater is so festive I had to share! It was in the 70's here the past couple days, so I've had to pick light outfits that also look like I belong in the month of December. It gets difficult sometimes. A good go-to for warm December weather is to put on pair of shorts with tights and then throw a cardigan on top. It's already Wednesday! Time feels like it's flying lately - which makes me feel overwhelmed since I constantly have deadlines for school. Anyway, I'm wearing this today. All I'm doing is going over to campus tonight with Matt to get a study room and get work done. Maybe a change of scenery will motivate me a bit. They're comfortable and wonderfully high-waisted. The waist size is on the back label, so I'm pretty sure they're a boys' pair. I guess I just have to look for more old boys' jeans to cut off. They have the best fit out of any cutoffs I have. I'm pretty sure that's because the hips are completely straight. Because if you haven't noticed, I have pretty much zero hips going on and sometimes that's an issue...

Well, it's definitely spring out there! My original outfit was too hot. As in, the tights I had on were too hot. Seriously. Also I look pretty good in some of these pictures, so that means I can have two versions of my outfit on here, right? I'm glad you agree. All I did was take off the tights and change my shoes. It's kind of crazy the difference it made in the outfits though. It's Friday and here's an outfit from last Friday! I wonder why I always end up posting my Friday outfits a week after they happen. I guess I just have a bit of a backlog in my outfit pictures. This is the day I did the headband curls thing I saw on Pinterest and I ended up waking up and looking like a crazy frizzy head when I brushed it out. Just a few pictures from the Music Midtown festival on Saturday. I went with my old high school friend and it was fantastic. We got there quite early, so the crowd was small. It got hugely crowded later on though! There was a glorious row of comfort zones. Seeing The Black Keys. It was fantastic! Coldplay as the headliner. We were so squished into the crowd and I could hardly see a thing, but I could hear it! There was a huge amount of standing too so I'm glad I wore my blue flats even though they got really dirty. All in all it was a great day. Let's hope Music Midtown comes back next year. It's cool having a music festival right here in Atlanta.
