An Unseasonably Warm Shorts, Navy Cardigan, & Green Lace Tights Outfit

It was in the 70's here the past couple days, so I've had to pick light outfits that also look like I belong in the month of December. It gets difficult sometimes. A good go-to for warm December weather is to put on pair of shorts with tights and then throw a cardigan on top. I hadn't worn my green lace tights for a while, so it was time to bring them out!

Today is George's 11th birthday and I'm sad I don't get to see him. Mom took this picture of him with his birthday crown on though. I'm pretty sure his slumber had been disturbed, but that's easy when you sleep 20 hours per day. Happy birthday George!

This outfit is perfect and you make me want to find a pair of denim shorts this very second to wear with tights! That's the problem, I don't have any. I love those tights! I used to have a teal ombre pair of lacey tights and never knew how to wear them!

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
