Good morning (or afternoon or evening) to you! In my vacation picture editing extravaganza that happened last week, I found yet another set of pictures that would make a perfect outfit post. These pictures were taken at Windmill Bonne Chiere in the morning of our last day in Bruges, Belgium. I made seeing at least one windmill a priority on this trip since I'd missed out on them the first time I went to Bruges when I was a kid. After the tourists in the back of some of these photos left, Matt and I had the windmill all to ourselves so we could climb up on the stairs and get some fun pictures while taking in the view. (Sorry no pictures taken from up there. I wasn't about to drop and break my camera in the middle of our trip. Those stairs were steep!) This windmill is an open trestle post mill . I've had this chambray overall dress for quite a few years now, but finally had the straps taken up so I didn't have to safety pin them shorter anymore. I enjoy a good overall even if it can look a little twee. I usually get plenty of positive comments on this pinafore dress though so I guess I'm not too old to rock one.  This entire outfit takes me back to childhood because I'm pretty sure I wore a red shirt, overalls, and white shoes combination when I was a little kid. (I wish I could dig up the picture to compare.) It's a pretty solid combination if I do say so myself. So solid I wore it the other day and was very pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the outfit. What do you think? Happy Halloween! You know I enjoy dressing in slightly themed clothes right around different holidays so here's one I wore to work this week. I don't get very many opportunities to wear my various Halloween earrings so I have to start with the Halloween-y outfits earlier than the day-of. This outfit featured my candy corn earrings, along with an orange silk blouse I thrifted recently layered underneath a sleeveless striped dress. I finished everything off with plain black tights and my cutout ankle boots. These boots always feel kind of witch-y to me so they're perfect for Halloween-inspired outfits. Any excuse to wear a sequined skirt is a good enough excuse for me. I've worn this skirt on completely normal days too , but this specific outfit was worn at my sister's graduation party. Sequins and parties just go together! There's also a Little Mermaid feel going on with this skirt so I had to eventually pair it with this bold purple silk top. I thrifted this shirt a long while ago and love it but the wrinkles just do not want to come out. I tried my best! To accessorize, I added a short tie around my neck and my delightfully comfy two-toned Steve Madden flats that I got at Shoe Carnival for $15. Isn't it the best when a pair of shoes actually turn out to be substantially comfortable? It's kind of like a lottery when you buy a pair of shoes. Here's a little bit of a crazy outfit for you. At least it's crazy in the color scheme and print. Mostly it's this silk 80s shirt I thrifted a long while back. I hadn't worn it yet this season so it needed to make an appearance. I decided to pair it with my black a-line skirt with the mesh cutout detail and a pair of new insanely blue tights. These tights were in Walmart clearance for $2.50 so they obviously needed to come home with me. They're such a cool, bright color! Somebody told me I look like a Disney princess when I wore this outfit so that makes it a winner in my book. I thought it was about time I layered a blouse underneath this polka dot dress and here is the result. These pictures were taken last Monday after my awful super busy weekend, so I was really tired. That's my excuse. I wore this outfit downtown on Saturday. I wore my silk checkerboard print top I thrifted a couple years back underneath my little black dress. I'm convinced every blouse looks good layered underneath it! Especially crazy prints like this! The bouffant was a necessary addition too, I think. They kind of make every outfit better. I allowed myself a break from school stuff since I'd never been downtown for the Twilight bike race before! Matt and I caught some of the race and had a couple drinks. This certainly wasn't what everyone else was wearing downtown, but I'm not into being cold and looking like everyone else. Seriously, do these girls ever check the weather? They were all in shorts and bodycon dresses in 50 something degree weather. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know I can find a way to incorporate leopard print into nearly every outfit. I thrifted short and long sleeved silk leopard print blouses a while back and they get a  pretty good rotation in my wardrobe. Leopard print is a neutral while also being a print. Happy Friday! I wore this outfit to class yesterday. It was pretty comfy with my newly thrifted sweater and stretchy black pants. The blouse underneath is one of my favorite thrift finds too. It's such a strange and colorful print and it's silk too!
