Halloween Outfit: Striped Dress over an Orange Blouse with Candy Corn Earrings

Happy Halloween! You know I enjoy dressing in slightly themed clothes right around different holidays so here's one I wore to work this week. I don't get very many opportunities to wear my various Halloween earrings so I have to start with the Halloween-y outfits earlier than the day-of. This outfit featured my candy corn earrings, along with an orange silk blouse I thrifted recently layered underneath a sleeveless striped dress. I finished everything off with plain black tights and my cutout ankle boots. These boots always feel kind of witch-y to me so they're perfect for Halloween-inspired outfits.

Do you wear outfits inspired by holidays too? I know some people find that really corny but I've always been a fan of holidays and how they're something fun to look forward to peppered among all the regular days of life. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday too!

Are you doing anything fun for Halloween? I don't really have plans for today but last night we went to a Halloween showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was hilarious and fun. I might just have a Halloween movie marathon and drink pumpkin beer tonight. We'll see!

The orange colour of your blouse is beautiful and perfect for the Halloween season.
I loved watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight in the Theatres when I went (11 times eons ago). Now I have it on DVD which is also nice.
I also love your bright orange lipstick, candy corn earrings and the effect created by the directions of the stripes on your Ross dress. Even the doggy's collar is a nice Halloween colour. Have a Happy Halloween and movie marathon!

You look fantastic! I definitely love holiday dressing -- in fact, yesterday I saw a skirt with ribbon around the edge that had Christmas stockings and Christmas trees on it, and I might have to get it if it's still there today because it's obviously perfect for Christmas!
I love this outfit for Halloween, though! That dress is especially great!
We're going trick-or-treating with my sister-in-law and her kids this afternoon, and then probably coming back home aaandddd... doing nothing else. Haha!

I love this!! The candy corn earrings are so cute, and I'm always a sucker for B&W stripes + orange! Your hair looks gorgeous with this Halloween look, too!

The pup kind of stole the show but just look at that adorable face! (Seriously, what a totally cutie pie.) I really like your theme dressing, I always look forward to your holiday outfits. I'm really awful about that but I always love it when other people do it and you're always really creative. Those earrings though - they almost look like really candy corns!
I hope you had an awesome Halloween, it always one of those really fun holidays! :)

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. ...be it! I love a good performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We went to see the live shadow cast Lips Down on Dixie perform at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta. It was awesome, as always! This is Jeanie and her friend Leslie before they got their lipstick Rocky virgin V's on their foreheads. Leslie even got the honor of holding the criminologist's book during a part of the show. Pretty ballin'. Butt shot! Yes, those are heels I have on with leopard print pajamas. It was a take on Columbia in the touch-a touch me scene. The real pj's are stripes, but this is what I had! I did have the mickey ears and crazy makeup though, so it counts. [How fun would it be to wear one of those costumes for Halloween?] I always enjoy this show.
