A Sailor Top with High Waisted Skinny Levi's

Happy Wednesday everyone! I wore this outfit last week when we had a very strange cool snap. It was actually cool enough outside to wear jeans so I was very excited to be able to wear my new Levi's. Here I am wearing my sailor top again too. I'm really interested in finding more ways to make jeans look non-boring once the weather cools down. Sometimes it's nice to mix it up and wear pants once in a while! Though I'm really looking forward to breaking out my tights! Can you tell I'm ready for fall already?

I feel like outfits that are skinny on the bottom with more volume on top (like this) really emphasize my sort of boyish figure, but oh well. I won't let my lack of hips dictate what types of outfits I try out. I work with what I have. I'm just happy I have some boobs going on so I'm not completely stick straight!

Looove that sailor top! Man, I am so bad at making jeans look fancier. Okay, I'm so bad at buying anything other than dresses. Getting separates is so hard!

this outfit is so lovely. i love the sailor style but it's hard to find good fitting pieces. you sailor blouse is perfect. sadly we don't have f21 in germany.

I love the sailor top with the leopard shoes! I never would have thought of this combo, but it works beautifully together. I'm a short gal too and have a hard time finding ways to wear jeans that actually look cute...this is perfection and I want to try something like it now :-)

Gahh I love sailor collars, they are just such a fun, classic and totally adorable style. And I must say that you pull it off beautifully! It's funny because I was actually eyeing up my 80s sailor collar romper in my closet last night...maybe I will wear it sometime this week! You look adorable, Jamie!

okay okay, back to blog world. I love whenever you wear this top because it gives me ideas on what to wear with it. When it gets cooler, I now know that I can wear it with some high-waisted sailor pants I bought on sale this summer... wa ha ha ha!

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
