Outfit: Polka Dot Matching Set with Floral Wedges and a Straw Hat

You don't have to be a genius to figure out it's still super summery here in Georgia. I'm definitely looking forward to being able to wear more layers, but I tried hard to embrace the heat by wearing this outfit. I realized I hadn't featured my polka dot matching set without a cardigan yet, so I here it is! This is one of my absolute favorite purchases from Forever 21. It's so breezy and comfortable in this humid weather. This time I wore my cute straw hat with it and a pair of floral wedges I don't wear often enough.

So have you guys had a good week so far? The weekend is around the corner! Though weekends generally aren't much different than weekdays for me. I spend a lot of time researching every single day. (Places that may have jobs, jobs that are posted, how to make my applications better, improving the freelance work I'm doing, articles to share to maintain my social presence, and on and on and on.) I've been thinking maybe I need to actually take breaks from the computer, but I'm never caught up on everything I want to do. 

I keep wondering how long it's going to take for me to get my crap together and be a real adult. I want to get a job, contribute, and move away from Georgia. I could rant about the state of the job market and how frustrated I am with the "advice" I keep getting, but I'll spare you that since this is an outfit post. These posts aren't supposed to bring you down! Just look at my pretty outfit!

Oh, don't I know all about that well-intentioned advice people keep giving me.

"Put yourself out there more!" "Work for free to gain experience!"

It's enough to drive you crazy. But we won't dwell on that, let's dwell instead on your gorgeous little outfit! I can see you're nuts for sets, I would be too if I could find any sets like that in the shops! I did find a vintage suit set at one point but a suit isn't exactly the same as a matching set outfit, hrm.. Will have to keep looking.

I hear you! Nothing like cliched advice that people seem to love to give...the teenager in me always makes me want to roll my eyes when I get it, hehe.

On a brighter note - your outfit is divine! I love matching sets - though I don't have one of my own yet. This one is perfect on you. You look like a doll :-)

I also live in the south and it's still pretty hot here! Although today it's only supposed to hit 86 degrees so I guess that means the weather is cooling down?? Eh, probably not, haha.

Good luck in finding a job! It also took me a LONG time to find one myself, but things eventually worked out so hopefully it's just a matter of time and patience :)

Firstly love the polka dot and floral wedge combo. And... all the best on your job search too. I know what you mean about computers, good grief, I'm always on mine. But I'm trying to take break breaks on the weekend... mainly because I'm having nerve damage in my arm from it. Ugh!

I'm so sorry. I know how frustrating that can be! I think that breaks actually can be a great thing. I would suggest taking some time to yourself, but then again you probably don't need more advice. Good luck to you! Love the polka dots!

Good luck on the job search! I know you'll get there eventually. I know a girl who submitted like 300 applications over 6 months until she found one that suited her. Not to like, scare you or anything, but don't give up hahaha. Anywho, you look absolutely adore in these polka dots! I feel you on the busy weekends--I'm practicelly never out of the studio anymore.

I love this because polka dots are my favourite are so are matching separates right now. Just bought my first set recently and can't wait until the warmer weather so I can start to wear it. Good luck with jobs. I seriously understand how you must be feeling. Slightly over a year ago that was me and I was so frustrated beyond words. Then I got lucky and have been in my current job for a year now and definitely say it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I never thought I would be saying that so keep hope that this can happen for you too.

The job market here is horrendous. Even if you find a somewhat acceptable job you get paid so very little you can barely survive. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't sweat it, it's bad everywhere, it's not your fault the world sucks and people are having babies, with not enough resources and we don't have enough jobs and the economy is a mess :D

It's still super summery here too (and I like that! I can wear my shorts/skirts/dresses much longer haha). I love the cropped polka-dot set--wish I had one as well.

Good luck with the job search! It really does suck right now, so I know how hard it is. And hey, I have a job and still don't feel like a ~real adult yet. >_<

I think you suit crop tops and matching sets better than anyone I know! You always look amazing.

Being an adult sucks, but don't let it bring you down, you'll get there and don't settle for rubbish when you don't have to. I hope things pick up soon and you find something, but there will be something out there for you soon!

I cannot believe this set is from Forever 21! I can never seem to find a lot of cute things there, but this set is adorable! I think I actually may have tried on the skirt when I was there a few weeks ago, but I didn't see the top! Soooo cute.

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
