Striped Top, Red Mini Skirt, & a Side Ponytail

Happy Monday everyone! Here's a pretty simple outfit I wore shopping the other week. It's hard to go wrong with navy and red - or with a striped top and mini skirt. It was also time to rock the side ponytail. Side ponytails are especially great when paired with a superhero print bow. (I'm supposedly an adult?)

Haha, I ADORE your quirky bows, though! That one is pretty darn awesome. You can never be too old for cute bowties. I actually really want to buy some small swatches of awesome printed fabric like that and make a collection of bowties... summer project, yeah!

Also, how cool are your earrings?!

Stripes and red is such a fantastic combination that I always love. Totally adore your incredible hair bow. Really cool hairstyle, I used to do that sometimes when I had longer thicker hair.

Love that bow! And man, you make me want to try a side pony tail. I think I would look like I'm straight from the 90s though ... which of course is the best decade so maybe that's not such a bad thing after all!

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
