Outfit: Acid Wash Skinny Jeans, Polka Dot Top, Blue Cardigan, & a Black Boater Hat

Happy Monday everyone! It's a new week, summer is officially over, and here I am pretending it feels like fall. I just really wanted to wear jeans! This outfit was comfortable enough for a few minutes out in the heat though. My upper stomach could feel the fresh air so I guess that was my air conditioning.

Do you guys like my new hat? I ordered it during a Nasty Gal sale. I figured it's black so I can get away with wearing it in the cooler months but it's straw so it'll be fine to wear in the heat too! Win win! I really love wearing hats but I forget to wear them. I have a decent amount of them too. It's a shame to let them sit there unworn so I've been trying to plan outfits around them.

I feel like I always talk about the weekend on here, but oh well. There's not a whole lot going on in my life right now! I had a good weekend spent mostly with Matt. We went to a Delta Spirit concert on Friday. It was fantastic. Saturday I went shoe shopping with my mom then watched football (which I don't particularly care about but it's just what you do down here.) Sunday afternoon was spent sitting on the back porch with Matt talking about everything. How about you? Did you do anything interesting over the weekend?

That hat definitely was worth it, I think it could totally make the transition between the two seasons. I also wanted to say that I do the same thing with hats! I have so many but I feel like I don't wear them enough mostly because I forget. Such a shame

We tried going to a mussel farm on the weekend but the farm was closed, I was soooo saaad!!!
Man, these jeans are fierce! Love the cropped top too ^_^ And the hat is a gem!

I was pretty much chilling in the studio this weekend. Though on Saturday I went to an artist talk at the Birmingham Museum of Art then hung out at my art prof's gallery there. WOOHOO ART LIFE!

I love this entire outfit. I saw it on Instagram and went "eeeeeep" a little bit. Polka dots, acid wash jeans, and cardigans, oh my! I think it was actually cool this morning for us because I was up at 6 and was a little chilly on my bike ride. FALL IS COMING SOON! DOWN WITH SOUTHERN HUMIDITY!

Um, I think this is the first time I saw stone washed jeans and loved them in an outfit. And the polka dot crop top is adorable. Polka dots are always my weakness.

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
