Outfit: Pink Sweater with Houndstooth Shorts and Silver Oxford Shoes

Happy Monday everyone!

I wore this outfit a week or two ago. I've been loving these houndstooth shorts that I just had to order from Forever 21. I'm always happy when I can keep coming up with new outfits inspired by one new piece of clothing. I love that these shorts pair nicely with every other color. This time I went with my pink sweater with the lace bow detail that I bought last winter. Pink, black, and white is another winning color combination in my book. I kept the tights simple and added some shine with my silver cutout oxford shoes I got on clearance at Target this past summer. What do you think? Are you a fan of these houndstooth shorts too? I hope so because I already have another outfit planned for them! I may even wear it today!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are looking forward to holiday festivities or some down time in the near future. I've been spending time with family up north doing festive Christmas things. Other than that I don't have a whole lot to report. I have plenty of posts planned to finish up this year on the blog though. Keep an eye out for a few extra posts than my usual schedule!

I love black and white patterned things - they go with so much! I don't have much that's hot pink, but pale pink with monochrome is always a winner for me, as is baby blue. This is a cute look - and that jumper is gorgeous. CC x

I love the houndstooth pattern, but I don't actually have a lot of it in my own closet! I really love the colors in this outfit, especially that top! :)

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.) For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
