eShakti Review in a Classic Green Dress
Happy Monday! Today I'm reviewing eShakti, an online shop that specializes in clothes you can customize to your exact measurements.
I'm sure a lot of you fashion blog followers have seen eShakti mentioned before. It's really such a great idea for a store. First you choose from a frequently-updated array of dresses, tops, or skirts. (So frequent that my dress isn't in stock anymore!) They have a ton of classic and retro-inspired dresses so it was easy to find something I'd love.
The standard size chart ranges from size 0 to 36w, but for $7.50 extra you can enter your exact measurements and have the clothes cut just for your shape. You can also customize different aspects like hem length and neckline. I definitely took advantage of the customization! My dress was originally a sleeveless design, but I added short sleeves. I also chose a knee-length hem instead of below-the-knee. As you can see, everything was exactly what I ordered! Pretty amazing stuff.
(P.S. I know this should go without saying, but all opinions here are my own and I would never give a positive review if things were not to my liking.)

When eShakti contacted me to do a review, I was so excited because I had browsed their site quite a few times and loved the idea of having a dress custom sized to me. Most everyone has some sort of body thing that makes buying clothes online a gamble. So many things get to me and have to be altered. I'm really short which sometimes causes length issues. I'm also incredibly short-waisted so the bodices of a lot of dresses are way too long and that's not an easy alteration. I entered my height into eShakti's custom size form and the dress was proportioned for my not-quite-5-foot frame. Entering your measurements also makes sure the bust and waist are perfectly comfortable and that's pretty fantastic if I do say so.
I was really pleased with my experience with eShakti. The dress was exactly what I ordered and shipping was super speedy. I love the design of the dress. I mean, it has a peter pan collar with bronze sequins. Does it get much better than that?
This is going to be my Christmas Eve dress, but it'll be styled up for cold weather then. I made sure to take pictures in it while it was warm so you could all see the sleeves and collar and just how pretty the dress is on its own.
If you feel so inclined, you can like them on Facebook to get updates about sales and new arrivals. Have any of you guys checked out eShakti before? What did you think?

I did a review for them, too! I loved the dress, but the measurements for me ended up way too big up top!
