Work Outfit: Purple Skater Skirt and Leopard Print Flats

Long time no blog! I didn't realize it had been so long but life has been busy, including my weekends with Dragon Con last week and working on a new hairdo this weekend - more on that later. So it's definitely time to show you a new outfit and what better than to show you some new shoes? 

These leopard print flats are from Target and you may still be able to find them. They also come in black. I love that they zip up the back so I don't have to fasten three buckles and so far they're really comfy. Definitely contenders in my "what shoes do I bring to Europe?" quandary. They go with pretty much everything too. This time I paired them with a new purple skater skirt from Boohoo. I enjoy wearing all colors, but don't have nearly enough purple in my wardrobe so I thought it was a good addition. Plus it's long enough to be work appropriate. The black top is very old from Forever 21. Like early college old. I still like it.

So how have you all been? Again, sorry for my absence here but I have been on Instagram plenty lately if you want to see pictures from the past couple weeks. Dragon Con pictures are still being added (I'll get some on here so you can see my costumes soon) and you can see my new hair on there too! Check it out and let me know what you think! I may still go lighter and possibly add some other color in there (pink? purple?) but Mom did an amazing job pulling the super stubborn red out of my hair. I'll go back to my standard bright red someday (I do love it) but I wanted to try something new for a little while since I've had red hair for 10 years.

Welcome back Jamie!!! No worries at all for the absence, I know how that is for sure, life can get SO busy at times. Trying to blog consistently becomes harder and harder the older I get. But no worries, us your faithful followers will always be here for ya!!

Loving this outfit you are wearing today, I can definitely see myself wearing this same exact look! Funny enough, I saw those leopard flats in Target and wanted to buy them too but they didn't have my size, hahaha. They look great with your purple skirt and lacy black top!

Dragoncon looks SOOO cool, I wish there were more events like that in Panama! And I loooooove your new blonde hair, you pull all colors off so well!!

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
