Denim Shorts, Purple Blouse, & Snake Print Flats

It's already Wednesday! Time feels like it's flying lately - which makes me feel overwhelmed since I constantly have deadlines for school. Anyway, I'm wearing this today. All I'm doing is going over to campus tonight with Matt to get a study room and get work done. Maybe a change of scenery will motivate me a bit. That's what I'm hoping!

These shorts are always a good go-to choice for me. They're comfortable and wonderfully high-waisted. The waist size is on the back label, so I'm pretty sure they're a boys' pair. I guess I just have to look for more old boys' jeans to cut off. They have the best fit out of any cutoffs I have. I'm pretty sure that's because the hips are completely straight. Because if you haven't noticed, I have pretty much zero hips going on and sometimes that's an issue with clothes. Skirts can just be taken in in the hips though, so it's all good.

I love the look of those shorts! So adorable. I'm jelly, I have to find women's high-waisted shorts because I have all the hips. I have really only found one pair that I have really loved, so hopefully I can find another pair or two.

You always look so adorable when donning high waisted anything! I feel like I look silly whenever I wear high waisted shorts (I think I have maybe once or twice). I think they just look better on smaller frames such as yours :).

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
