Vibrant Green Blouse, Polka Dot Skirt, & a Headband

Happy Friday everyone!

I know this is kind of a spring-ish outfit, but I really enjoyed wearing it. For some reason I just love pairing blue and green together. I had earned some credits on Oasap and decided to use them on this cute green blouse. The color is so vibrant! I couldn't resist all the fun details on this top. (Though looking at the pictures now, I realize I probably should have ironed it before I wore it.) I really liked the way the polka dots in my skirt played off of the floral part of my new top.

I've been wearing a lot of skirt outfits lately but I promise I have more variety coming up soon. I guess I've just been in a separates mood recently! 




I want to say thank you for always leaving such nice comments on my blog. You guys really are super sweet. I love when you guys say I look so happy in my posts because I really try to keep this blog as positive as possible (with an appropriate amount of sarcasm). I mean, I've always enjoyed being in pictures so I'm rarely unhappy to pose for a camera, but... Life has been kind of overwhelming lately, so I'm glad to hear I'm not bringing everyone down in blog land. 

It's been one of those weeks where I don't know how there will be enough time in a day to get everything done. I spent almost the entirety of yesterday reading academic articles and I'm not even 1/4 through the rest of the stuff I have to do this weekend. I really don't know how people with real grown-up jobs do graduate school. Probably at a slower pace than me? I hope so. 

Again, if you hear of any media/communications related internships for next spring in the Atlanta area send them my way. I'm having an awful time trying to get one on top of all my school work. Basically my head is stress village these days.

But anyway, I hope you guys have a great weekend!

Aw, Jamie! I'm so glad that you're able to remain so positive and happy even when you're busy. I really do love that about you. The world needs more happy people. :)

Anyway, your outfit is ADORABLE as usual! I love that ruffle up top and your polka dot skirt is precious.

Everything here is perfection! I love the oxfords - I've bought two pairs to wear with dresses and jeans this fall. They're so versatile and comfortable. Love how vibrant that green is. Have a great weekend!

ah girl! i love your smiles in your pics, it really does send such a positive vibe. I do grad school full-time, 12 credits a semester but in quarters, and go from 8 hrs of work to 4 hours of class 2 days a week but honestly i feel like it just means you probably study and actually learn your stuff way more than everyone in my program does! although it's designed for working professionals so oh well i guess haha. what do you study again? oh and I LOVE the color and details on the top. and ironing = totally overrated.

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
