Red Dress over a Black Mock Turtleneck Sweater, Polka Dot Tights, & a Bow Necklace

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all have a nice day doing romantic things or just stuffing your face with treats! Here's an outfit I wore a couple weeks back but saved for today since it features this red dress I thrifted. I just really liked how this outfit turned out with the turtleneck sweater layered underneath my sleeveless dress. Plus polka dot tights look good with pretty much anything. 

I'll post what I actually wore today sometime soon! I went with non-traditional blue lace dress for Valentine's day last year. (Though we celebrated a day early. I wore a heart sweater outfit on the actual holiday.) I still love the more common red and pink color scheme of the holiday though. For Valentine's Day 2012 I went with the red and black color scheme with a red wool skirt and striped tights. Red dresses are always a good idea though - so here's a red dress outfit!

Do you guys have any plans for tonight? Or non-plans? Sometimes staying at home and eating lots of chocolate is just as fun as going out, I think. Matt and I are going to make an Irish cream bread pudding. We decided to do an inexpensive dinner and maybe a movie or bowling too. (This is assuming the ice from this week is melted and places are actually open.)

Oh wowie, you sure planned this one out! Buwahaha, I have a few outfits that have been taken a month or so ago, too... it's nice to have a few ready when things get busy. But ah, those boots, those tights, and that dress together are all just so cute. I'd wear this in an instant!

Hope you've been stayin' safe through your ice storms and such! I think GA got hit a lot more than where I am in Alabama.

Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.) For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
