Airplane Pin with a Denim Dress, Leopard Cardigan, & Keds

I guess I've really been loving wearing my little Keds lately because here's another outfit with a dress & Keds combo. They're really comfy for walking back and forth to campus. This white pair is from high school when I was in Grease. So they're pretty old...but that's okay!

It's like my vintage airplane pin was meant to be paired with this denim dress. They look so perfectly retro-tastic together. Maybe denim just goes with airplanes. I don't know, but this outfit wouldn't be nearly as good if I wasn't wearing my airplane pin. I can thank Jeanie for picking it out for me as I rushed out the door that morning. She was my accessorizer.

I hope you guys have a great start to your week. I stayed up pretty late getting my readings done for class, so I'll be tired. Oh well. It's a brand new week and I fully intend on making it a productive one. We'll see how that goal pans out once 6pm this evening hits.

"Retro-tastic" = LOL!!! What a cute word! And these definitely are that. I love the dress, the cardigan and the pin. I've had a love affair with my Keds lately too. Moving is a pain in the arse!

This dress looks PERFECT on you Jamie! I love it :) And your airplane pin is a true gem, how sweet that it belonged to your grandmother. I have a weakness for vintage pins. I aaaalways look at them in the thrift store and have a few at home. I never wear them though, I think they're just too pretty to lose! xo

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
