Red Velvet Skirt, Checkerboard Top, Heart Tights, & Red Moccasins

This velvet skater skirt screams festive winter holiday times to me. It's still winter so it's still appropriate right? I just really like the texture velvet adds to an outfit.  I paired it with my checkerboard top, some heart print sweater tights, and my new red Minnetonka moccasins. Jeanie bought me these moccasins for Christmas and I love them. They're so bright and comfortable! Actually this entire outfit was pretty comfy. Velvet and sweater tights are both nice and warm!

Obviously this is another outfit from when I was in Illinois. I have some outfits backlogged from that trip. The pictures are so nice and wintry though.

I have always been a fan of red white and black. It is a classic color combo in my opinion! And any way to make this cute outfit warmer (with the velvet fabric of the skirt and the sweater tights) is just a win win in this nasty winter weather!

Ha...we both posted black, white, and red outfits today! I love adding red (or any bright color) to a black and white outfit to give it a pop. I especially love red shoes, and those are super cute and they look really comfy too! :D

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
