Houndstooth Tights, Denim Shirt, Black A-Line Skirt, & Sparkly Boots

Hey it's my new denim shirt again! I don't have nearly enough neutral tops so I'm sure this will be getting plenty of wear. For this outfit I let my bold houndstooth tights be the star though. They were only around $2 during a Forever 21 sale so I had to snatch them up. I can see them looking really cool with a red pencil skirt. Maybe that'll be one of my Thanksgiving break outfits! Look at me coming up with outfits in the middle of the night like an outfit wizard. (I probably should have scheduled this post prior to 4am but essay writing prevailed on my to-do list. So now you get to read strange(r) ramblings due to my lack of sleep.)

It's Friday! Though I'm still working on a paper so I'm not free for Thanksgiving break yet. Nor am I really free during Thanksgiving break since I have an interview, a presentation to put together, and another paper to write. The school work truly never ends, my friends. Let's just hope I don't get the flu this Thanksgiving break like last year. (I even had my flu shot but it was a different strain.) That was just lovely.

haha oh Jamie, I feel like I'm right there with you on the schoolwork over the break... I have two huge art projects to finish (like, huge drawing, eep!) which is better than a paper, I suppose, but still makes me a bit uneasy... eeek.

I love those houndstooth tights, though. $2 is such a good deal!

I am loving this look, a denim shirt is always a perfectly classic piece. And those tights are really funky!!
I will be doing homework all weekend too but its not a long weekend for us

i cannot stop wearing my denim shirt either -- such a versatile piece to have. love your tights, totally agree that they would look amazing with red (or maybe burgundy!). good luck on your interview!

Hey, you make pretty good sense sleep deprived. (I always sound like a dipstick, sometimes while perfectly awake!) I love your tights, it's such a bold pattern and the little see-through part of the skirt really looks awesome with them. Good luck with the essay writing!

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. ...be it! I love a good performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We went to see the live shadow cast Lips Down on Dixie perform at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta. It was awesome, as always! This is Jeanie and her friend Leslie before they got their lipstick Rocky virgin V's on their foreheads. Leslie even got the honor of holding the criminologist's book during a part of the show. Pretty ballin'. Butt shot! Yes, those are heels I have on with leopard print pajamas. It was a take on Columbia in the touch-a touch me scene. The real pj's are stripes, but this is what I had! I did have the mickey ears and crazy makeup though, so it counts. [How fun would it be to wear one of those costumes for Halloween?] I always enjoy this show.
